Everyday we have a choice to eat right. Whilst we may not have someone to force us to choose between a cheese burger or a plate of vegetables, no matter which way we look at it, eating healthy is whats best for us. Especially If you are serious about getting in shape, then you need to be even more serious about what you put in your body. All the exercising in the world can’t get you to where you want to be if you’re eating poorly.
so here’s an easy recipe to help you start. There are two things you want to keep in mind when picking out your meal: Protein and Carbs. Protein builds lean muscle. Whilst Carbs give your body the fuel it needs. Luckily for me, I grew up being fed veggies,which is where I learned to cook my vegetables in different ways. Below is one of my favorite recipes that is both tasty and good for you.
You will need:
4 potatoes peeled and cut into cubes
4 carrots peeled and chopped
1 tbsp of butter or peanut butter
Bring pot of salt water to boil and add carrots and potatoes.
Let vegetables cook for about 30/60 minutes (or until tender)
Mash vegetables together and add a tablespoon of butter or peanut butter.
Serve with your favorite lean protein like chicken and enjoy. Remember you are what you eat.
